.    Objectives and Scope

1.1.     Background

This document contains a set of software development standards. Each standard is dedicated to a specific project support activity and defines WHAT rather than HOW the activity should be performed. The following standards are therefore generic and apply to all projects.

Standards should be used as reference material when creating detailed procedures.

1.2.     Objectives

This document aims to:

•       Identify the minimum requirements to control the various project support activities, e.g. change control.

•       Specify how these activities are related to each other.

•      Act as a reference to be used when defining the scope of project specific procedures and when accessing the suitability of current and new procedures.

1.3.     Scope

Adherence to the standards in this document is mandatory for all staff and all products that are classified as controlled, i.e. will be subject to formal approval, issue and change control.
